Looking Forward to Summer 2021
Onwards and upwards ! We're delighted to be getting back on the beach in the summer of 2021. After too long away from our Mudlarks we can't wait to get going with Beach Schools again and have a number of exciting projects upcoming over the next year. Seahouses Primary Yr 3/4s were our first full class back on the beach after the long winter lockdown. They were the first class to benefit from our ongoing collaboration with Northumberland Coast AONB and it was amazing to be back on the beach surrounded by enthusiastic smiling faces and pots full of periwinkles. We couldn't be happier atet Northumberland Coast AONB have agreed to fund 10 sessions for local schools to explore and enjoy their coastline every year. Our 10 free sessions for 2021 have been snapped up, postponed thanks to Covid and rescheduled and we are raring to go ! Now more than ever we think it's essential for everyone's health and well being to get outdoors learning, exploring and playing together.
We're looking forward to continuing the fantastic Burgage Beach School programme with our fabulous regulars at Hipsburn Primary and to delivering more John Muir Award sessions with both Seahouses and Whittingham Primary Schools. Belford Primary has booked a very special coastal learning week with us in June and the whole school will get the opportunity to spend a full day on the beautiful Bamburgh Beach exploring, having fun and learning. We're currently assessing interest in a monthly Home School Beach School session and are looking forward to working with a number of schools for the very first time in the near future including Broomhill and Widdrington First Schools. So lots to look forward to in the summer of 2021 - let's get going !!
